We have now newly produced the carburettor foot gasket in exact original design, Metal in the middle with a surface layer of fiber gasket on both sides. Very heat resistant packing that is absolutely perfect both in material and fit.
A premium quality metal reinforced carburetor foot gasket, it features a fiber gasket face on both sides of a metal core exactly like the Cadillac original. It fits all 1957-66 Cadillacs with 1 carburettor, and replaces all previous numbers. We have had it manufactured in the USA and have exclusive rights to it. 2 gaskets are required for 1 car.
There is a gasket under the bakelite plate and a gasket on top of the bakelite plate.
If you have a Carter carburettor, there must be a heating plate BRA-0387 under the carburettor. Always fit a new heating plate and it must be glued to the carburettor. ATTENTION! Only Carter has a hot plate.
Check the condition of the bakelite plate, if it is cracked or bad replace it.
