Description
Starter motor shims that you put between the starter motor and the engine block to get the right distance between the starter ring and the starter motor gear. there should be 0.65-1.5 mm distance if you measure between the teeth. A normal iron paper clip has a diameter of 1.0 mm. Look at the picture.

Be careful with this, if you have the wrong distance, the starter motor will run too hard and the starter motor end may crack. Also check if there should be a rear bracket between the starter motor and the engine block, it is very common that it is missing.
