This valve seal was not fitted as original
Valve seal kit for 1 engine, this model is of the hat model and specially adapted for a Cadillac valve spring. It is not originally fitted to your engine, but there are some customers who want both O-Rings and the hat model as an extra safe and tight valve seal combination, therefore we have produced this kit on request.
When installing the double valve seals, do it in this order, and it will be correct. 1. Insert the valve into the cylinder head. 2.fit the valve seal with the large opening closest to the cylinder head .3. Place the valve spring, if it is more tightly wound on one side, the tighter winding should be closest to the cylinder head. 4. Place the valve washer. 5.Press everything together with the valve spring pliers. 6. Lubricate the grooves at the top of the valve stem with a little grease. 7. Mount the O-ring = the valve seal in the lower groove closest to the cylinder head. 8. Mount the 2 valve locks = valve snaps in the upper groove on the valve, the grease makes the snaps stick. 9. Release the spring and remove the valve spring clip. Now everything is ready and assembled in the right order. Note that double valve seals were not originally installed on a Cadillac. But according to requests, we have brought home these valve sealing caps and put them in stock. But it's not something we've tried ourselves, but some customers say it works well.
