Are all the joints that go into the intermediate steering strut loose?
There is one on each side of the pitman arm, auxiliary steering arm and inner steering joint ball. Sometimes the surface is shiny sometimes it is matte but it is the same ball socket, it depends on the date of manufacture, we deliver what we have in stock at the moment. For a car you need 8 pcs.
To disassemble the tube, and replace the ball cups, remove the scissor pins and thread out the end plugs on the tube, the intermediate tie rod. When you take everything apart, keep track of how everything is assembled. Check for any damage to the pipe and check that it is straight. Install the new ball cups and check all other parts inside are ok, replace damaged parts (we have everything in stock) Assemble everything in the correct order. Lubricate all parts with grease when you assemble everything, fit the grease nipples last. Then you have to adjust the pressure on the springs in the pipe, then do this. Tighten the end plugs until it stops, then loosen approx.: 1/4 of a thread turn, then insert the scissors stick. Now it is fully adjusted.
