Have you considered that at the back of your Eldorado you have on each side 2 conical wheel bearings that must be maintained with new grease and adjustment every 5000 miles. Disassemble the rear wheel bearings and check for damage, if so replace the bearings. If the bearings are perfect, it is enough to change the packing box. wash off all old grease and dirt. Press new grease into the bearings. Fill a little extra grease around the bearings after you have mounted them. But not too much, just enough is best. When adjusting the bearings, mount the wheel first, adjust the bearing so that the play disappears but do not tighten more than that. Drive a few miles, raise the car and readjust the bearings. Do not adjust too tightly, you should almost sense a small play then it is perfectly adjusted.
