When was the last time you changed the filter in the gearbox?
Automatic drawer filters of the highest quality, encapsulated paper filter exactly like the original. You cannot clean or wash the oil filter, it must be replaced. Changing the filter in the gearbox is a very good medicine to avoid costly gearbox breakdowns.
Don't forget to order a gasket for the oil pan. When you still take down the oil pan, unscrew the dipstick tube and replace the O-Ring that sits in the hole. That job is easiest to do when the trough is gone. The O-Ring should NOT be threaded onto the tube but sit in the hole where the oil dipstick tube goes down into the box. When you check the oil level in the gearbox, the engine must be warm and idling, make sure the car is level. If you check the level when the engine is cold, remember that the level rises when the oil warms up.
