We have bought a small batch of refurbished Cadillac original fuel pumps with Made in the USA modern rubber material and non-return valves that can withstand our bad gasoline with ethanol admixture. The company behind these gas pumps specializes in repair kits and refurbishments of older type gas pumps. We have bought fuel pump rope kits from the company for over 25 years with no problems. We have also had complete pumps delivered, mostly for 1953 and older Cadillacs. The price picture for complete pumps is high, which is why we have refrained from buying newly manufactured ones. As the situation is today, we cannot get hold of newly manufactured petrol pumps with acceptable quality, therefore we have decided to hire our reliable USA company also for newer year models. So this is a refurbished petrol pump in original design, complete with gasket for installation. This is not a cheap petrol pump, but we offer a 3-year warranty on this petrol pump if it breaks down (Vapour lock in the pump is not a breakdown, but a problem caused by bad petrol and the location of the pump in the engine compartment. In 1949-62, the fuel was so good, so it could withstand being placed on top of the engine without getting so-called vapor lock when a queue is formed)
