These door trims are for the front doors on the 4 door post 6219, not the 4 door HT and not the Fleetwood either. And it is the type that must be glued.

Description

A pair of door rubber strips for both the Left and Right front door. These moldings fit 4-door sedans that have a post between the front and rear doors, except Fleetwood 60 special. They also do not fit 4-door HT cars. Also, there are 2 different types of door rubber moldings for the 1956 Cadillac, this is the type to be glued on. If you are unsure, check the chassis plate under the hood, it says 56-6219 and you are missing a hole for plastic clips, so you have the type of rubber strip that must be glued. Then these are the right door rubber strips for you, but only for the front doors.

Tip!

First mount the moldings a little loosely and check how they are to be mounted, then when you have fine-tuned the fit, you detach them and glue them in the places that are needed when you reassemble them for good. So think first and glue later.
