Description
This is an easy to install frost plug that is perfect to use as a temporary solution if it is tight and awkward. Clean the hole where the plug should sit, insert the rubber plug into the hole, then tighten the center bolt, then the rubber swells and the plug is stuck in the hole and seals properly. Note that you must mount it dry without glue, adhesive or any sealant, if you do that it will slide out of position. Keep in mind that this is a so-called emergency plug that you can fit when you don't have time to fit a normal plug, or when you can't fit it without detaching the engine from the engine mounts. It is therefore not a durable and permanent solution but a temporary replacement plug. But we have actually seen this type of plug last 10-15 years without falling off.
