Description
This auxiliary relay has a function for the cab up and a function for the cab down. The double relay of 2 x 40 amps is adapted to withstand the current consumption of the cab motor. When the car gets older, of course the electrical system also ages, what happens then is that the resistance in cables, connectors and joints increases, the consequence being that you get a voltage drop in the electrical system. You notice it above all in large electricity consumers such as a cab pump. The power to the cab motor has a long way to go, first from the battery into the coupe to the cab button and then from the back all the way to the cab motor. If you have a 50-60 year old car, you may have 60-70% of current left when it reaches the cab motor. what then usually happens is that the cab button is burnt to pieces by being overloaded, then there is too little power to the cab motor which runs too slowly and breaks down. Already here you hear how expensive and problematic it can be with voltage drops. The relay must be mounted closest to the cab pump, and you can do a very neat installation and hide both the relay and the new cables behind the cab pump so that it is not visible if you want. After the relay installation, you have a cab button that sends power to the relay, which only needs very little control current. You now have a cab button and a cab pump that won't overload and break. It comes with an explanation and a sketch in Swedish of how to connect the relay.
