The rear wheel cylinders were available with several different piston diameters in 1960-61, so it is especially important to replace these in pairs. The cylinder we stock has 1″ inner diameter which is the optimal piston diameter.
Cadillac came up with several different service notices and number changes regarding different dimensions of the rear wheel cylinders. Therefore, it is especially important to replace these in pairs. The cylinder we stock has 1″ inner diameter which is the optimal piston diameter.
When replacing the wheel cylinder, replace both the left and right wheel cylinder at the same time to avoid uneven braking action.
Don't forget to fit a new copper washer between the hose and the wheel cylinder.
Check that the hose does not catch the frame or the tire after installation
Be sure to replace all brake fluid in the entire system and ventilate thoroughly
