This is a bulb chart from a Cadillac original workshop manual, use it as a guide if you are unsure of which bulb to buy.
We use the original numbers on the bulbs in most cases, we just add zeros in front. We have almost every original bulb that Cadillac used from 1941-1976 in stock. One problem is that Cadillac replaced the lamps with slightly different numbers back and forth, it can be different depending on which literature you read, often it is basically the same lamp but with different numbers. We have chosen to keep all the numbers we know in stock, so you can sometimes find several different lamp numbers for the same location.
Good luck with the light bulbs, if you need help, please contact us.
6 or 12 Volts?
Cadillac 1941-52 has 6 Volt.
Cadillac 1953-76 has 12 Volt.
If this does not apply to your car, then someone has modified the electrical system.
Do you have e.g. a 1941-52 with 12 Volt, then go to 1953 and order the lights and you will get 12 Volt.
C/P? Watt?
CP or C/P means Candle Power, it is a way of measuring the brightness of e.g. a light bulb. A CP is roughly the light power of a candle. Cadillac specified a C/P value on all bulbs in order to know the brightness of them. If we know the C/P strength of the lamp, we include it in the text for each light bulb.
A light bulb's Watt number is not the brightness, but approximately how much power it needs to shine.
Candlepower and Watt cannot be translated.
