The hole for the stud in the air cleaner is not directly above the hole in the carburettor, therefore the stud must be angled and bent like the original stud. Thread the stud bolt into the carburettor, place the air cleaner and mark where to cut the stud bolt. Remove the stud bolt and cut it off in a vise, Pinch the part you want to cut off in the vise so you don't damage the threads.
