This Immobilizer Switch, Neutral Switch replacement was sold by GM when the four pin one was out of date. Works exactly the same, but you don't use 2 of the pins. Sits on the steering column and cuts the power to the starter motor when you have a gear engaged. You get a note on the car test if this contact is broken. It also senses when you put it in reverse and then turns on the reverse lights. The vacuum connections are for the handbrake's automatic release when you engage the gear
Tip!
Check fasteners, screws and that nothing breaks askew. And that everything is ok where you screw the connector. If there is something crooked, crooked or something else wrong with the steering shaft with the linkage, it is easy for the connector you bought to break immediately.
