Loose nipple for 5/16″ pipe, this nipple fits pipes that have an outer diameter of 5/16″ = 7.9mm. The outer dimension of the thread is 1/2″ approx: 12.7mm if you measure with a caliper.

If you change a nipple and have to taper the pipe, you have to make a double taper. The single cone does not belong on brake and fuel lines.
