This rope set fits cars that have front drum brakes
A Cadillac, GM Original large rope kit for front wheel cylinder with 1-3/16″ inner diameter contains 2 piston gaskets, 2 dust covers 2 pistons and the control spring in the middle. This rope kit is for a front wheel cylinder and only fits cars with front drum brakes.
Take apart the wheel cylinder and check that it is 1-3/16″ = 30.16mm inside. Clean the old pistons, hone or polish the inside of the cylinder with fine sandpaper. Wash clean with T-Spirit or thinner. If there is rust damage or cracks in the cylinder, it cannot be refurbished, in that case discard it and buy a new complete cylinder. If it is in good condition, assemble it with new gaskets that you lubricate with brake fluid.
