Rope kit for wheel cylinder with 15/16″ inner diameter, originally fitted at the factory on most 1961 Cadillacs. But if the cylinder has been replaced, it can be a different inner diameter. Check carefully, or replace both cylinders with new 1″ wheel cylinders
Tip!
Take apart the wheel cylinder and check that it is 15/16″ = 23.81mm inside. Clean the old pistons, hone or polish the inside of the cylinder with fine sandpaper. Wash clean with T-Spirit or thinner. If there is rust damage or cracks in the cylinder, it cannot be renovated, in that case discard it and buy new complete 1″ wheel cylinders for both sides. If it is in good condition, assemble it with new gaskets that you lubricate with brake fluid.
