Description
This is the bent leaf spring that is mounted on the underside of the gear lever. The function is that the spring holds the gear lever in the selected gear position, and that there is a springy movement when you pull the lever towards you. If the spring is missing or if it is interrupted, you get a limp and sloppy shift lever, and it is easy for the shifter to slide over into an unselected position. So a very important spring, check that it is ok. It only fits cars that haven't gained traction. Are you not sure if you have joined? Check under the turn signal lever on the left side of the steering column, if you don't have a lever mounted under the turn signal lever, you haven't started either.
