Description
This is a special oil that has a thickness / viscosity roughly halfway between thick rear axle oil and grease. It can withstand extremely high pressure and is also used for turntables on the trailer attachment of the big US trucks. It is also a perfect product to use for the steering worm's so-called worm part, i.e. the part that is not hydraulic. The bottle contains 0.47 liters which is enough for a steering wheel if it is not completely empty. The oil must not be filled in the power steering part.
A Cadillac steering wheel like this consists of 2 different sections.
The part that manages the power steering has 2 pressure hoses that go to the power steering pump, where you fill Automatic transmission oil type "A" or a power steering oil. The other part is the shell part itself. There we use this steering gear oil. If you completely disassemble the steering gear, lubricate all parts in the steering gear with this oil, then top up to the correct level. The oil must not be filled in the power steering part.
