Thermostat that opens at 160 Fahrenheit = 71 degrees Celsius. We usually say this thermostat is a cold thermostat that opens earlier than a normal thermostat. If you have heating problems, it may be a little better with earlier opening, but really, the thermostat is too cold for your car.
