A newly manufactured hose clamp of the model that we call tower clamps. The inch measurement we state is what is stamped on the clamp, but we also state the actual maximum measurement in mm. the measurement we specify is therefore the maximum inside measurement of the clamp in mm (we have measured exactly) If these clamps were used on your particular year model when it left the factory, everyone disagrees, so therefore we do not enter into that discussion. But we think it's a stylish hose clamp that many people use for their Cadillac renovation.
Tip!
Keep in mind that it is difficult to open these clamps, they should preferably only be tightened once. Therefore, check carefully that it is the right size before you start tightening the screw.
It is very important that there is no paint between the hose and water pump, radiator. What can happen is that when the paint gets really hot, it gets soft and the hose slips off, hot glycol water sprays everywhere under the hood and you get a stained engine room. Both we and many customers have made that mistake and it's not fun. This applies to all clamps for radiator hoses, the make or model of the clamp does not matter.
