Valve seal kit for 1 engine, This is the original type O-Rings.
There are some opinions that these seals don't work, don't believe it! Cadillac used these seals from 1949 into 1965, so does anyone really think they used a seal that didn't work for 15 years. They work perfectly if they are mounted correctly. We ourselves have driven 1959 Cadillacs for over 30 years with these seals with no problems.

When installing the valve seals, do it in this order, and it will be correct. 1. Insert the valve into the cylinder head. 2. Place the valve spring, if it is more tightly wound on one side, the tighter winding must be closest to the cylinder head. 3. Place the valve washer. 4.Press everything together with the valve spring pliers. 5. Lubricate the grooves at the top of the valve stem with a little grease. 6. Mount the O-ring = the valve seal in the lower groove closest to the cylinder head. 7. Mount the 2 valve locks = valve snaps in the upper groove on the valve, the grease makes the snaps stick. 8. Release the spring and remove the valve spring clip. Now everything is ready and assembled in the right order. This is how the valves should be assembled without exception, then it will be correct.
The oil thus comes up on the valve washer and follows the valve spring downwards, the oil cannot follow the valve stem downwards because the O-Ring seals between the valve stem and valve washer.
