Tip!
Before detaching the brake pipe from the hose, clean the brake pipe nipple with a wire brush and spray on rust remover, repeat this and let it work for a few hours. If you do this, you have a better chance of not twisting the brake pipe.
Don't forget to change the copper washer closest to the wheel cylinder.
When you then mount the hose, it is not always the angular part of the hose that must be inserted into the hose bracket on the frame that fits exactly. Sometimes you have to file the hose or the hole in the bracket to make it fit perfectly. This is because the hose has been replaced in part number and make so many times in the approx. 60 years that have passed since the car was new, and then the exact dimensions and design of the attachment may have been lost a little.
When you have installed the new hose, check that it does not catch anywhere, think about the movement of the car's spring.
Ventilate properly and also take care to change the brake fluid in the brake system.
