Description
An insulation that was under the hood when the car was new, we call it hood insulation. This is made exactly like the original. The function is to dampen engine noise and another advantage is that the hood does not get so hot = paint and sheet metal cope better. One of the pictures also shows what the hood insulation looks like mounted in place.
Tip!
Mount it with contact adhesive. Be careful when assembling, so that it is straight from the start. It's hard to change once you've got it in place. The black smoother side must be glued and pressed firmly against the hood, the grayer and fuzzier side must face the engine.
