Loosen the inner wire to the speedometer drive wire. If your housing is complete, then you can replace the inner drive wire. It has a length of 2.5 meters, you cut it to the right length and fit a square pin in the end you cut off. a tool for this is included. The finished wire has a square end at both ends.
