Description
The cable entry that feeds power to the kickdown solenoid in the gearbox. The location is on the left side of the gearbox, i.e. on the driver's side. This is a remanufactured original fit only 1964 cable grommet that has the TH 400 gearbox, the hole in the gearbox is only a little over 14mm. This is a common cause of leakage, the plastic in the grommet ages and the oil leaks out through cracks or through the bad O-Ring that should seal between the grommet and the gearbox housing. Replace both the grommet and the O-Ring.
