Tip!
If you change the camshaft, you have to change the lifters as well. Buy a bottle of cam grease and lubricate the cam cams and lifters with it during assembly. Do not forget to check the condition of the rod that drives the fuel pump, if it is damaged replace it.
Early or late 1949?
If you have an early 1949 it is a compression spring with a plunk, sleeve at the front of the camshaft
If you have a late 1949, you are missing the compression spring at the front of the camshaft
