Complete stock conversion kit for 1 side. Includes bearings, packing box and spacers, everything you need to convert your old ball bearings to roller bearings. In 1960, all Cadillacs received this type of wheel bearing as standard, they are much more durable than the old type that are built with round balls. Especially if you use radial tires on your car, we recommend this conversion kit. The radial tires give a harder ride than the old diagonal tires, which are higher and run smoother. We developed this kit over 30 years ago, and have driven these bearings ourselves on a car since then, it has now gone over 45,000 miles without a bearing change. Of course we changed the grease every 5000 miles.

Tip!

Before fitting the new bearing kit, wash off all old grease and dirt. Press new grease into the bearings. Fill a little extra grease around the bearings after you have mounted them. But not too much, just enough is best. When you tap in the spacer sleeve, tap it in a little so that it steers straight. Then you take the bearing track and make sure it goes straight. Then you drive or press down both the bearing race and the spacer sleeve at once, that way you don't damage the spacer sleeve. Check out the pictures below. When adjusting the bearings, mount the wheel first, adjust the bearing so that the play disappears but do not tighten more than that. Drive a few miles, raise the car and readjust the bearings. Do not adjust too tightly, you should almost sense a small play then it is perfectly adjusted. ATTENTION! The packing box must be mounted with the cross marking towards the center of the brake drum, i.e. towards the grease
