A refurbished smog pump, air pump. It was only on cars that were equipped with exhaust gas purification. It works so that it pumps out air, oxygen to the exhaust ducts, you then get an afterburning of the exhaust gases. The principle is that As when you blow on a fire, it flares up and burns more.
Tip!
Do not remove your air pump, doing so will burn the pipes and hoses that go from the air pump to the exhaust ducts. Since there will then be exhaust gases in them, the thin-walled pipes that are made to pump air inside are not for exhaust gases.
