This modulator only fits 1964 with TH-400 transmission.
Vacuum modulator the large model, newly manufactured to work perfectly for the Cadillac gearbox. The appearance is also similar to the original design. It sits on the right side of the gearbox and is controlled by the vacuum in the engine's intake pipe. The function is that it partially takes care of the gearbox upshift.
Tip!
Remove the vacuum hose from your old modulator, if there is oil in the hose, the diaphragm in the modulator is bad. Replace modulator.
Is the engine smoking at idle? It could be as simple as the intake vacuum sucking up gear oil through a broken modulator.
