Oil nipple angled, reinforced model

70 kr

Stronger design, reinforced.

SKU: AGAINST 1891 Enhet: piece

Generally

Angled brass nipple that sits between the oil pipe and the oil filter container or engine block. All threads are like the original, but it is a stronger manufacture with more material. This one can withstand a little more careless handling and is not as easily damaged as MOT-1890. The external thread is 1/8 NPT approx. 10mm if you measure with a caliper. In the female part, an oil pipe with the original dimension 3/16″ = 4.8mm outer diameter of the pipe fits. So if you don't think appearance matters, this is a better nipple than the MOT-1890

Tip!

Replace the oil pipes at the same time, they are often damaged in the cone that meets the brass nipple.
If you want, you can brush on a thin layer of gasket adhesive on the joints before installing the plug. But it often seals anyway, because the gang is conical.
National Pipe Thread is an American standard that includes tapered and straight threads. NPT are the conical threads, where the T in the abbreviation stands for tapered (conical), and NPS the straight (straight). NPT threads all have the same taper, 3/4 inch per foot. Pipes and fittings with this type of thread are found primarily in sizes from 1/8 inch up to and including 2 inches.
