Does it appear that the dipstick tube has been replaced, cut or modified in some way? Then do as follows: Drain all the oil and unscrew the oil filter, Install a new oil filter and fill exactly 4.8 liters of oil. Start the engine, let it run for at least 5 minutes, switch off the engine and now leave the car on level ground until the next day. Now check the oil dipstick, the oil level should be exactly at the maximum level. If it is not, redo the markings so that it is correct. Now you can trust the dipstick markings.
