Refurbishing a water pump is not a simple repair. The sealing surface of the water pump housing must be machined so that it is completely flat, then the impeller may need to be turned off. When assembling the water pump, the seal must be shimmed so that the correct pressure is applied to it. So it's not something you go to the local OK shop with a few hand tools and fix, but it's completely feasible with a little fine mechanics and caution. We sell a lot of rope kits every year and most of them get it, we just want to point out with this that it is not a "Baggis" to renovate a Cadillac water pump.
