Starter motor. Factory refurbished with solenoid

Tip!

Before disassembling the old starter motor, disconnect a battery cable from the battery.
It is very important that you have a charged battery in good condition.
Check that you have good contact on all connections to the battery.
Check that you have good contact on all ground cables. Engine block frame and Battery frame.
The most common cause of a broken starter motor is poor power and poor cable connections.
Sometimes you have to put shims between the starter motor and the engine block, if the starter motor gear is too close to the starter ring.
