Description
A universal temperature gauge that was manufactured in the -70-80s. The instrument part is made for 52mm holes. It is a capillary tube meter so it does not need a power supply except for the 12 volt light bulb that comes with it, for the lighting. The function is that you thread a nipple into the temperature sensor hole, then an encapsulated narrow flexible tube goes into the car and to the meter. The sensor and tube are filled with a liquid that expands when heated and pushes up the meter needle for the correct temperature display. The scale shows both Celsius and Fahrenheit. The sensor is mounted with supplied nipples directly in the threaded temperature sensor hole. It also comes with a chrome universal bracket, for easier installation. It is therefore adapted for your Cadillac engine. Replace the 12 volt lamp with a 6 volt lamp and you will get working lighting in the meter.
