This rubber strip is mounted on top of the torpedo wall and seals against the hood. An important list, if you miss it, the rear edge of the hood is not in the right height and the crankcase ventilation penetrates the rear edge of the hood and further into the cabin, there is a smell of burnt oil/exhaust gases inside the car and this should be avoided.
