The rubber stopper for the ashtray lid. Now we have newly manufactured ashtray rubber, it is an exact copy of the Cadillac original. The rubber has the same hardness as the original and the rubber quality is of the highest quality. Also other placements, e.g. instruments, rear ashtray etc. etc. The small conical stop that is visible is only 6mm at its widest and 3mm high. The picture is from a -59 as an example of placement.
Tip!
Lubricate the rubber stop with e.g. a little silicone grease before assembly so it slides more easily into place. We have had the rubber pin manufactured at the back edge longer than the original, so that the rubber stop will be easier to mount in tight spaces. You can cut it off after assembly if you want.
