Special packing boxes for double sealing function, a pair of packing boxes that you mount together at the back of the gearbox. They are extra thin and can be fitted where the usual stuffing box sits. But when you have mounted these, you have two packing boxes that seal instead of one. Be careful when tapping in the packing boxes, take one at a time. When the packing boxes are in place, lubricate the sliding surface with grease so that the outer packing box does not run dry.

Tip!

If you have a problem with the rear of the gearbox leaking, this could be the solution. Put a thin layer of packing adhesive on the outer part of the stuffing box when you install them, the spring must face inwards towards the oil. Don't forget a little grease or oil on the sealing surface of the stuffing box when it is assembled.
