If your old spider joint is riveted, the original spider joint remains. Then you have to grind off the rivet heads or drill out the rivets. If you are still tinkering with the front carriage, check through all the joints and bushings. Replace damaged front suspension parts. When everything is fixed, you should adjust the front trailer to avoid worn tires.
