A refurbished original Eldorado distributor for cars with 3 carburetors. Complete with switch tips, capacitor and an original vacuum bell with screw connection to the vacuum.
It was only fitted to cars that came with a 3 carburettor intake from the factory, the so-called Q engine. It is a very special distributor that also has a special distributor cap TAN-4340. A regular distributor cap will not fit. This refurbished original distributor replaces these distributor numbers 1958 GM110926 . 1959-60 GM110952
Tip!
Make sure you really have a Tri Power, 3 carburettor original distributor. If you check the distributor cap you will see that the small hatch for the switch tip adjustment is right next to one of the mounting screws, it does not do that on a standard distributor. It is not uncommon for the distributor to be replaced because the cap is so hard to get to, if the hatch is in the middle between the screws then you do not have an Eldorado distributor.
There are many different names for these carburetor sets with 3 2 port Rochester carburetors, Cadillac called them the Eldorado Engine (3 dual-barrel carburettors) or the “Q” Engine, other names are for example Six pac, Tri power, etc.
The connection cable from the distributor should be connected to the negative terminal on the ignition coil.
