The brake pedal does not go back up as it should, here is the solution.
A universal extra strong return spring if the brake pedal does not go back up as it should. Just 1958 Cadillac has that problem sometimes especially on the Moraine brake servo, it is due to the return pressure spring in the brake servo being exhausted and unable to press the brake pedal back. It is easily remedied with this spring.
Start by greasing up all linkages so that everything runs easily and nicely. Then drill 2 small holes in the linkage, see the picture below. Pinch off the spring with a pair of pliers to a suitable length if necessary and install it after making 2 hooks in the spring end with the pliers.
Check the picture below how we did it on a -58, it was a perfect return of the brake pedal.
