Description
This is a used front cover, cam drive cover that sits at the front of the engine and covers the cam drive. The front cover fits since 1956 after engine number 103792 (it is stamped in front of the right cylinder head). You can also check if there is a packing box in the cam cover, then it is a late 1956.
Tip!
Loosen the oil pan at the front when changing the front cover. Compare the ignition timing mark to your old cover so it points correctly. Install the stuffing box after the cover is in place, so you avoid the worry of the compression spring in the stuffing box falling loose.
